HIS FAMILY
A 10 year old boy broke his neck in a fall
at home in Arlington. He was rushed to Harborview Hospital for life
support and surgery. He is paralyzed and breathing through a tracheotomy
in his throat because his lungs collapsed. He is now in Children‘s
Hospital under the best possible care with hope of some healing. It is
heart wrenching to see an otherwise healthy boy in such state. He always
enjoyed playing soccer and baseball. Sam is the great-grandson of one of
our Portland Lodge members. In the meantime the family, with three
smaller children at home in Arlington, struggles to make ends meet,
mother and father taking turns staying with Sam in the hospital in
Seattle. We can all help, keep them in our prayers and donate cash at
