INSTALLATION PARTY On January19th, 83 people from the Puget Sound area came together at the NWDF center to celebrate the new officers of the Danish Sisterhood and Brotherhood. After socializing with cocktails, the meal began with herring and snaps followed by a delicious pork roast dinner with all the trimmings prepared by Jorgen Mathiasen from IKEA.  Dinner was served by our young Himmelbjerget campers Kelley Blackburn, Melissa Buus, Caitlin Larsen and Karsten McIntosh. During the dinner there were introductions including Sisterhood Past President Tina Praegel from Vancouver BC, who installed the Sisterhood officers, District President Michael Nielsen of Seattle, and the Presidents-elect for the Sisterhood were Melanie Berg, Lodge 19 Olympia/Tacoma; Marete Eadie Lodge 40 Seattle; and Nancy Strangland from Lodge 75 Enumclaw. Lodge 40 member and Past President Ruthi Jensen-Larsen was Sister Marshall for the evening.  For the Brotherhood Presidents we had Dean Larsen Lodge 29 Seattle and Perry Brochner from Tacoma Lodge 33.  Past District President Svend Toftemark from Eugene came to be our conductor for the Brotherhood. Marete introduced our new local Danish Princess, Emily Olsen, who also helped serve dinner.  District Vice President for the Brotherhood Egon Calundann from Tacoma was the installing officer for the Brotherhood. After the installation we enjoyed coffee and cake cut and served by the Princess and Arlene Poulsen. A special thank you to Sandy and Thomas Buus for organizing the kitchen work, and thank you to all who helped with all the things that needed to be done to make this another successful party.  --Frank Poulsen
